Calendared Events:
If you accept an invite, be there for the event - whether confirmed or not. If you cannot be on at the scheduled time, do not accept the invite.
If you have an emergency or you end up not being able to make it, please take 5 seconds to let someone know whats up and that you wont be there, so other arrangements can be made to replace you if necessary.
If you absolutely cannot notify someone, you *will* be tooled until you talk to an officer - so do not log on and freak out if you're set at that rank (and therefore unable to talk in guild chat).
New Staff Position:
Raid Assistant to Kiddveflax.
Responsibilities: Assisting Kidd with raid schedule Leading the raid when Kidd is unavailable Calendaring the raid a week prior to the raid night.
Guild Raids:
- In progression raids (i.e. Uld), Vent is to be kept clear of nonsense. ONLY the Raid Leader should be speaking, along with raid-orientated comms: "Aski is in the pot" so the healers know who to focus on is fine, "Man I had the best pizza ever last night" is NOT.
- Suggestions should be directed to the raid leader, and should take the form of "I have a suggestion, do you want to hear it?", not a continual stream of whispers distracting them.
- The middle of a raid is NOT the time to bring up criticism of how someone is playing their class. If you feel you have a suggestion that could help someone out, please hold it until the end of the raid.
- If you have been put on standby for a raid, be online at the beginning of the raid.
- The beginning is 15 minutes before the scheduled time, to allow for raid prep. Do not take this as an excuse to do daily quests or one last instance and be ready a minute before the scheduled time.
- Be ready, at the entrance, to accept your invite 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Otherwise you may well be replaced.
- You are expected to bring whatever you need to raid - Flasks, food, water etc will not be provided to you.
- Breaks will be scheduled. Get your snacks lined up before the raid. Taking a break to get a drink or food is unacceptable, get it before or after the raid. Natural bodily functions of course take priority, but you know what time the raid is scheduled for so don't order pizza to arrive or put food in the oven if it means stopping during the raid.
- Other than emergencies, you do not bail on a raid for ANY reason - thats an instant gkick. If theres a storm or other problems that may disconnect you, make it known before the raid.
- Master Looter is on for pretty much all raids. Loot is open roll, main spec (the one you are playing in that specific raid) first, offspec rolls if nobody rolls on main spec. Generally, anything not rolled on is taken by the raid leader (or their nominated enchanter) for DE, and mats placed in the guild bank.
- If someone wins more than one item, the second item is usually given to the next highest roll who hasn't won anything.
- The raid leaders decision is final, even if it breaks an established rule. Complaints can be made afterwards to the guild leader if necessary, but the needs of the raid will always take priority over individuals.
